            | And yet another great ride today. 18 bikes 24 people and it was a
wonderful day. It was a little breezy but nothing we couldn't
handle. 16 bikes meet up at the Chevron andoff we went at 8:35

for a ride up route 66 that Steve Hull planned for us. It took us a
little over an hour to make it to Kramer Junction for a quick break
and also to meet up with Wayne and Rod from Vegas. We hung out for
about 45 minutes before Bob and Faith took the lead to Randsburg. We
has a couple of new faces on this ride. Gregg from Simi Valley and
Ron came along with Bob from Ridgecrest. Steve brought is son
Hsiawen who was a new rider but he did very well in keeping up with
us. Charlie brought his son Connor and rode his new Rocket 3.
We made it to Randsburg right on time at 11:30 where we meet up with
Sue and George and the dog BJ. It got pretty breezy in Randsburg so
we only stayed about an hour. Lots of dirt bikes out today as well.
It was just a short half hour ride into Ridgecrest for lunch at
Lugos. Rob and Daryl meet us at Lugos and it was great to see them. They
has a special area set up for us that was real nice. Sue sold some
50/50 tickets for us while we ordered and got some drinks. After
lunch we had a nice 50/50 pot of $95.00 which was won by Steve. It
was Georges birthday as well and we did a good job of embarrassing
him with a happy birthday song and Lugos gave him a nice piece of
pie. After lunch was over we took off for home. Some went up the 14
fwy while most of us went back on 395. We made another quick stop at
Kramer Junction again to say goodbye to Wayne, Rod and Rick. We had
quite a head wind coming back and I know the gas mileage suffered. A
lot of blowing dust going through Adelanto. Well I'm know everyone
had a great ride and I hope to see you on the next ride. It will be
an overnighter to Cambria and Gilroy May 19th and 20th. Mark you
calendars and make you motel reservations now.
I want to again thank Steve,Bob
and Faith for making this a great day and ride.
            Cambria for Lunch
             Ride safe, Dave
