Vienna to Schloss Kapfenstein

We had a two day warm-up ride through the Austrian countryside to prepare us for the "real" ride, with a group of 15, many of whom we knew from previous visits both in Austria and the USA. TomTom (GPS) sent us on all the small roads it could find.

The afternoon of the first day was spent at Abuentura where various activities kept us busy until it started to rain.

Zivo won the archery contest, but Rob tied for second place with 6 others so we did the US proud.

Driving old tractors through an obstacle course and walking on stilts - looks easier than it is.

Herbert playing the fool and Franz playing with the local dogs.

Back on the road to our night's lodging.

The Austrian countryside and a May Pole, still up in June.

Franz arranged for a "taxi", which turned out to be a bus, to take us to dinner at a Castle. These are some of the views from the hilltop castle.

It was a great dinner - Daryl, Michael, Herbert, Robert and Ingrid, Daryl again, Werner/Highwayman and Franz and Rob.
