Vienna to Salzburg
The real journey for the intrepid six starts on Saturday morning. Herbert is now
Mr. BMW, with all the gear. So we have 2 BMWs and 2 Wings (one with trailer) and
that will determine a lot of the pace and direction of the trip. Petra is
not riding to Salzburg but will come by train Monday morning since she has to
work.
TomTom sends us on very narrow country roads and to very unusual places.
The 1 1/2 hour drive to Salzburg takes 6 hours the TomTom way. We do a lot of
passing, see a lot of scenery and sometimes (Thank you Franz!) end up on nice
dirt roads.
A coffee break and an opportunity to synchronize the 3 different TomToms.
Dinner in Salzburg at a brewery/restaurant - lots of laughs and a group of
American tourists referred to Franz as the "foreigner" in our group.
