St. Girons to La Seu D'Urgell

We start the day with the usual TomTom synchronization, which means we end up in the same place and meet up on and off, but the BMWs go their way and the Wings theirs.

Shifting back and forth between France and Spain we criss-cross the Pyrenees. The scenery is spectacular and the climbing and descending twisties are equally spectacular.

Views of the Wings on the mountain roads courtesy of  Herbert who speeds ahead to take photos.

See what we mean about the hills and twisties.

We decide to stay in La Seu d'Urgell, which is in the Catalan region of Spain, for 2 nights so we can ride more hills and go to Andorra which is only 10km away. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but it is in the center of the city.

We are making a col-lection of Cols which are the peaks and passes. The following pics are local shots in and around the area on the way to La Seu.

Relaxing at the hotel as we wait for the 8:30 dinner hour to arrive. If you are hungry before that (poor Michael!) it's too bad.

City scenes.

La Seu has the canoe and kayaking venues for the Barcelona Olympics so we watched people trying to to maneuver their way through the course. Another thing that is not as easy as it looks.

Finally, it is dinner time and since Catalan is not like any Spanish we know, it is an adventure.
