Grindelwald to Andermatt
We left the bikes in the garage at the hotel (thank you!) and took the train to
the Top of Europe, the highest point in Europe.
The ride took about 1 1/2 hours and we changed trains once.
At the Top we went through the Ice Palace, full of carvings and very slippery
floors.
We went to the Phoenix viewpoint, even higher and played on the glacier.
We had every piece of bike clothing we owned on as it was very, very cold.
They had the world's largest snowball.
Herbert, Michael and Rob took the Flying Fox, a high speed line you strap
yourself to and fly through the air. Franz, Petra and Daryl stayed a little
lower and took photos.

Back to Grindelwald and on the road by 3:30 p.m.....
back through Interlaken, where there was a class on being a a crossing guard,
then on to two of the toughest passes, ending with the Fulka pass and down into
Andermatt.
Our next bike... powered by Renault... with the engine in the sidecar.
Andermatt had a thing about bears and big tractors rolling through town at full
speed.
