Here it was, the day we had driven here for, the main day of the Cruise. Marilyn and Daryl did some early morning laundry and then went to Krogers for cheese, crackers, vegetable snacks and drinks so that we didn't have to desert the chairs to get a hamburger. Although we had set our chairs up the night before, they had been moved so someone else could set up in front of us. However, it worked out as we moved right to the point of the triangle and had a perfect view as cars had to stop for the traffic light above us. As can be seen in the photos, if it can be driven, it can be in the Dream Cruise. There were lots of Corvettes and muscle cars, but there was also the ski boat without a tow vehicle, the world's largest red wagon, the Batmobile, various Army vehicles and the motorcycle with the ice-cream sidecar. There was a lot of warning about imminent rain storms, so we were prepared for the worst and when we felt the first drops we were out of there. Carol's cousins and Leonard and Carol wanted us all to have a last dinner in Detroit together, so some went in the truck and some in cars in the pouring rain to an Italian restaurant in Troy and had antipasto salad and pasta. On the way back to the hotel, Rob and Daryl stopped to get gas for the next day's trip and ran into two guys on scooters and their invention, which they hoped would carry enough luggage to get them to the World Scoot or some such gathering.
