We were able to sleep in - how nice.

 

The new owners of the Inn are very nice and want to have us come back again.  They purchased fruit and cereal for us, opened up a meeting room at no charge and will give us a good rate next year - something to think about.

 

Many members went to "Denny's" for breakfast while others stayed here for a light breakfast.

 

Today is a Car Rally over the hills of Monterey.  COTV is joining in on this, should be fun.

 

OH MY GOD!  The rally finally got started and a group of young BMW drivers were in charge.  They don't know how to wait and regroup, they just take off.

 

After the first leg of this rally, the rest of our group turned off.  Doug continued on.  These kids are RACERS and they know the road.  What an 'E' ticket ride this was.  They don't care about anyone but themselves.  Doug really did a good job staying with the group but it was something I did not enjoy.  Two drivers hit the mountain.  We were on a one car mountain road in and out of the sun and very windy.  I WILL NEVER, I MEAN NEVER, DO THAT AGAIN.

 

The rest of the group met at El Torito for dinner.  Doug and I came back to our room and collapsed.  The group said only 2 of the young racers had turned up before they left the restaurant.  Don't know what happened to the rest.
